How does the color extraction algorithm work?

Our tool uses advanced ColorThief algorithms to analyze image pixels and identify dominant colors through quantization and clustering. It extracts the most visually significant colors, then uses Chroma.js to generate harmonious color schemes based on color theory principles like complementary, triadic, and analogous relationships.

What accessibility standards does the tool check?

The tool validates against WCAG 2.1 Level AA and AAA standards, checking contrast ratios for normal text (4.5:1 AA, 7:1 AAA) and large text (3:1 AA, 4.5:1 AAA). How do I create a harmonious color scheme?

After extracting colors, use our harmony generators: Monochromatic (single hue variations), Analogous (adjacent colors), Complementary (opposite colors), Triadic (three equidistant colors), or Tetradic (four colors in complementary pairs). Each scheme automatically calculates contrast ratios for optimal pairing.
